# The viscoelastic plastic shear bands benchmarks

The folders in [this directory](https://github.com/geodynamics/aspect/tree/main/benchmarks/viscoelastic_plastic_shear_bands)
contain multiple benchmarks for examining the
development of plastic shear bands using either a viscoelastic plastic
or visco plastic formulation.
